Write A Story Called 'Monster The Dog'

Read the story about Monster. It is written in third person - like a 'fly on the wall' has recounted it. Using the plan and the prompts to help them, ask the child to write their own story, called 'Monster The Dog'.

Remember, in paragraph one they must introduce the characters, setting and plot. In paragraph two, they should build up events in the plot to create suspense and in paragraph three they should wind up the story with a suitable conclusion.
