Autumn Craft Ideas

Are you looking for some fun things to do with your kids this autumn half term? Then, check out our easy craft ideas below. These cute makes will keep little fingers busy at a low cost, help your kids get creative, and brighten up your home for autumn.


feather owl craft

Feather Owl


You will need:

  • Brown card

  • Craft feathers

  • Coloured card

  • Glue

  • Scissors


To make:

  1. Download the owl shape template (click here) and cut it out of brown card.

  2. Use the coloured card to make eyes, ears and a beak.

  3. Stick feathers over the body.

 
 

Squirrel


You will need:

  • Brown card

  • Pink card

  • Craft feathers

  • Brown tissue paper

  • Googly eyes

  • Scissors / glue


To make:

  1. Download the squirrel outline (click here) and cut it out of brown card.

  2. Cover the body in scrunched up tissue paper pieces.

  3. Cut out and stick on a pink nose and ear. Add a googly eye.

  4. Decorate the tail with feathers.

 

Fox Head


You will need:

  • Square of orange card

  • Black card

  • Orange tissue paper


To make:

  1. Fold the square of orange card, following the instructions here.

  2. Scrunch up pieces of tissue paper and stick on the front of the fox head to add texture.

  3. Cut out two eyes, a nose, and ears from the black card and glue on face.

 

Handprint Autumn Tree


You will need:

  • Cardboard tube

  • A3 brown/ black card

  • Coloured card

  • Paper Plate

  • Green paint

  • Glue / Scissors


To make:

  1. Paint the paper plate green.

  2. Cut the same size slits round one end of the cardboard tube and bend to create flaps. Glue the flaps down onto the paper plate (when paint is dry).

  3. Cut out a tree trunk shape from brown card and glue onto the front of the cardboard tube.

  4. Draw round hand on an assortment of coloured card and cut out. Stick to the top of the tree trunk to create your autumn tree.
